Equisil
Equisil media were developed by Dr. Maisch HPLC as a clone and cost effective alternative to the popular Hypersil and Hypersil BDS media. With the control of the whole manufacturing process Dr. Maisch HPLC can guarantee the highest reproducibility and performance.
Equisil ODS
Equisil ODS is a reversed-phase stationary phase used in liquid chromatography, specifically in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It's an alternative to other commonly used stationary phases like Hypersil and Supelcosil LC. Equisil ODS columns are made of porous spherical silica gel, typically with a pore size of 120Å and endcapped with 10% carbon.
- Equisil ODS is a stationary phase for reversed-phase chromatography, meaning it interacts with the sample based on its hydrophobicity, with the more hydrophobic compounds eluting later.
- The stationary phase is a silica gel that has been modified by bonding octadecyl chains (C18) to the surface, which makes it hydrophobic.
- Equisil ODS columns are used in HPLC to separate and analyze a variety of compounds, especially those with different hydrophobicities.
- It's a widely used stationary phase due to its good performance and stability.
