Waters XSelect Premier Peptide HSS T3 Column, 100Å, 2.5µm, 4.6 x 100 mm, 1/pk with eConnect Column Tag

Product Number: 186009911RF

The XSelect Premier Peptide HSS T3 Column, 100 Å, 2.5 µm Columns are designed for separations where silica-based selectivities are desired or when increased retention of hydrophilic peptides are required. Each batch of HSS T3, 100Å material is QC tested with a gradient separation of a tryptic digest of cytochrome c (p/n: 186006371) and must pass stringent performance criteria before acceptance for use in these columns. 2.1mm ID columns are recommended for use with low dispersion (UPLC or UHPLC) systems, especially for LC-MS methods. This column is part of the MaxPeak Premier class of columns, which deliver the chromatographic performance expected from our particle technologies while increasing reproducibility, peak shape, and recovery for metal-sensitive analytes.

Suggested Use: Peptide Separations, Peptide Analysis

XSelect Premier Columns

Maximize selectivity with problem-solving technologies for a wide range of analytes

Get the best injection to injection reproducibility in your chromatographic separations with Waters XSelect Premier 2.5 µm and 3.5 µm Columns, which utilize MaxPeak High Performance Surfaces (HPS) Technology. Ideal for the wide range of analytes encountered in method development, XSelect Premier Columns combine modern particle technologies and ligands with the protection of MaxPeak HPS Technology.

Designed to maximize selectivity, XSelect Premier Columns are built on one of two innovative base particle technologies, Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) and High Strength Silica (HSS). The integration of MaxPeak HPS allows you to recover more and achieve balanced, controlled interactions between your analytes, mobile phase, and the column for the highest performance chromatographic separations.

PST (Peptide Separation Technology)

peptide mapping. Reversed-phase (RP) chromatography has become the separation mode of choice due to its relatively high resolving power and outstanding quantitative (UV) and qualitative (ESI-MS) information. Waters Ethylene Bridged Hybrid (BEH Technology) and new Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH™) Peptide Separation Technology columns provide capabilities that help address demanding application needs.

HSS (High Strength Silica) Technology

High pore volume HPLC particles do not possess the mechanical stability necessary to withstand the high pressures inherent in UPLC separations. Waters material scientists addressed this challenge by developing a silica particle designed for high mechanical stability with the appropriate morphology to provide long UPLC column lifetimes and high UPLC efficiencies at high pressures. The 1.8 µm High Strength Silica (HSS) particle is the first and only 100% silica particle designed, tested, and intended for use in applications up to 15,000 psi (1034 bar).

The advantages of HSS columns include:

  • High retentivity for polar organic compounds and metabolites
  • Balanced retention of polar and hydrophobic analytes
  • Mechanical stability at high pressures
  • Seamless transfer between HPLC and UPLC technology platforms
  • Available Particle Sizes: 1.8, 2.5, 3.5, and 5 µm
  • Column Chemistries: C18, C18SB, T3, PFP, CN
