Inertsil AX

GL Sciences Inertsil AX Capillary EX-Nano Column, 5 µm, 100 Å, 0.1 x 250 mm, 1/Pk

Product Number: 5020-15433

Inertsil

Inertsil columns were developed by GL Sciences in 1986 for sample separations using high-performance liquid chromatography. Starting with Inertsil ODS, a new type of bonded silica was produced providing unmatched performance and reproducibility. Further refinements of evolved silica and the introduction of new phases have allowed Inertsil to achieve industry leading performance for analyte separation to become one of the most highly used columns for HPLC.

Features

  • High inertness — Inertsil columns feature sophisticated surface treatment to provide exceptionally low interference of analyte by surface silanols.
  • Extremely low operating back pressure — new surface silica technology allows for the production of particles with a high degree of uniform size, shape, and distribution which vastly lowers the operating back pressure, allowing for long column service life.
  • High reproducibility — produced exclusively in GL Sciences' in-house facilities with a high level of quality control, Inertsil columns are guaranteed to provide excellent reproducibility of results from lot-to-lot.

Ion Exchange Columns - Inertsil AX Columns

Inertsil AX has diethylamino groups bonded to silica gel by an alkyl chain. The diethylamino groups offer anionic functions required for anion exchange chromatography. It is mainly used for analyses of acidic compounds. Conventional ion-exchange columns used to show inconsistent results from lot to lot. However, Inertsil AX is manufactured under strict quality control in order to offer excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility. The retentivity of Inertsil AX is influenced by the buffer concentration in eluent. The retention time can be adjusted by the concentration of buffer.

Capillary HPLC Columns

Capillary EX and Capillary EX-Nano HPLC columns analyze trace amounts of samples in proteomic and bioanalytical analyses with high sensitivity and high resolution. Capillary EX and Capillary EX-Nano columns are totally porous particle-type columns with flow rates generally below 100 μL/min.

Columns with I.D.s of 0.05, 0.075, 0.1 and 0.2 mm are Capillary EX-Nano columns. Those with I.D.s of 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 mm are Capillary EX columns. Capillary EX-Nano columns introduce a fused silica capillary tube with a very smooth and clean inner surface providing a high number of theoretical plates. Capillary EX columns employ the column hardware used in analytical columns, which is very easy to use.
