The PerkinElmer Diffuse Reflectance Accessory is designed for the analysis of powders and abrasive or highly light-scattering samples. Features of the Diffuse Reflectance Accessory include: Automatic recognition - as soon as the accessory is placed in the sample compartment, it is recognized along with its serial number. System suitability checks including noise, throughput, and contamination can be carried out immediately upon placement of the accessory into the sample compartment, or as needed on demand. Automatic optimization - the sample position is automatically optimized for all sampling methods. Zero alignment, zero set-up - once locked into the sample compartment, the accessory is ready to be used. No alignment is necessary. Integrated - the plug-in module design means the accessory becomes an integral part of the instrument once installed. This accessory is supplied with a multi-purpose sample holder, 2 macro- and 2 micro-sample cups, 25 metal-coated abrasive pads, 25 metal-coated abrasive sticks with holder, and a 30-gram bottle of KBr powder. These parts can also be purchased separately as needed.
