Programmed-Temperature On-Column Inlet System(POC) Injector with Manual Flow Controller and Head Pressure Gauge, 120V. Kit includes all necessary hardware to install injector into PerkinElmer AutoSystem Series GCs. PerkinElmer Service Installation suggested. Requires PerkinElmer AutoSystem firmware revision 1.7 or higher. Operators manual (P/N 9938559) revision F or greater. The PerkinElmer AutoSystem Series Programmed-Temperature On-Column (POC) Inlet is designed to be used with fused silica capillary columns. The sample is injected onto the column while the inlet is cool. After the injection, the inlet begins to heat. This delay in heating avoids the flash vaporization associated with a normal injection. This explosive vaporization can cause thermal breakdown and/or discriminination of certain analytes which can be avoided by using the POC.
