The Stainless Steel High Pressure Capsules are reusable capsules with disposable seals. They have an operating range of -170 to 400°C, a volume of 30 µL, and 150 bar maximum pressure. The capsules come with 20 replacement seals, but gold-plated sealing disks (B0182905) are available. These capsules use the High Pressure Capsule Sealing Tool (B0182864). These capsules are compatible with the DSC 6/7/4000/6000/8000/8500/Jade DSC/Diamond DSC/PYRIS 1 DSC/PYRIS 6 DSC. Qty. 5 Capsules

High pressure capsules are recommended whenever higher pressures are expected. The covers of these capsules contain a bursting disk that allow sample to escape in the event that pressure exceeds 150 atm. This allows the endothermic signal produced by volatile samples or by-products to be suppressed, which permits the study of explosive materials and can be used in any situation where the a self-generating atmosphere is used. Capsules are available in stainless steel, gold-plated stainles steel, and titanium.
