The Scepter Claris column has a bioinert surface treatment on the column body and frit for a completely metal-free flowpath. It is ideal for the analysis of compounds that adsorb to either stainless steel or PEEK. The C4-300 phase is recommended for mid- to large-sized molecules (above 5000 MW) to ensure retention and avoid size exclusion effects. It is ideal for LC and LCMS analysis of peptides, proteins, intact monoclonal antibodies and their subunits up to 150 kDa. Bioinert coating eliminates adsorption and reduces tailing for compounds that have strong interactions with stainless steel or PEEK surfaces. USP L26, pore size: 300A, pH range: 1-10, max pressure: 100 MPa/1000 bar/14,500 psi, fully endcapped. Similar to Acquity Premier Protein BEH C4.

Shim-pack Scepter C4-300

Shim-pack Scepter C4-300 is wide-pore organic silica hybrid reversed phase columns recommended for the separation of proteins such as monoclonal antibodies and mid-sized molecules such as oligonucleic acids and peptides that may not be retained on 100-120Å pore size columns due to size-exclusion effects. The organic silica hybrid base material is highly stable even at high temperatures under acidic and basic mobile phase conditions. Pore sizes are optimized for large molecular weight compounds and dispersed uniformly in the column, resulting in symmetrical peak shapes and increased resolution of antibodies and nucleic acids compared to a smaller pore size column. Shim-pack Scepter C4-300 is also effective for high-sensitivity LC/MS analysis, producing good peak shapes even under weak ionpairing conditions using a formic acid mobile phase.
