This Upchurch Scientific / IDEX Health & Science / Biotech Fluidics Shut Off Valve Assembly is designed to quickly stops the flow of a stream. The body of the assembly is made from biocompatible, chemically resistant PEEK. It features a PCTFE rotor making it highly resistant to chemical attack. It is natural colored and it includes (2) XP-235 Flangeless Fittings. It is also available without fittings.
Biocompatible Shut-Off Valves effectively stop a flow stream quickly. The bodies are manufactured from either PEEK™ or Tefzel® (ETFE) with a rotor, making them highly resistant to chemical attack. Try one of our ETFE valves, which turn at a low torque and hold to 500 psi (34.5 bar). The blue colorant used in some valve configurations has proven not to leach out with most common HPLC solvents. Connect semirigid polymer tubing, such as PEEK or Fluoropolymer e.g., FEP, PFA, with the Flangeless Fittings provided. Soft tubing, such as Pharmed® or Tygon®, may be connected to these valves using our 1/4-28 barbed adapters.
