This Upchurch Scientific / IDEX Health & Science / Biotech Fluidics Barbed to Threaded Male Adapters make it easy to connect soft-walled peristaltic tubing to several different threaded ports while creating a reliable, low-pressure connection. They are made from inert Tefzel™ (ETFE, for superior chemical compatibility) or from PEEK polymer (for good chemical resistance and enhanced mechanical strength). Options are available for use with different tubing inner diameters.

Barbed Connectors

These Type 1 Barbed Unions have been engineered to effectively join two pieces of soft-walled tubing together. This type of connector is typically the connector of choice for joining two peristaltic tubes with similar inner diameters together. These unions are manufactured from either polypropylene or nylon.

Thread to Barbed Adapters

• Three barb sizes, for 1/16”, 1/8”, and 3/16” ID flexible tubing
• Adapt to 1/4-28 flat-bottom, 5/16-24 flat-bottom, or 10-32 coned receiving ports

These adapters make it easy to connect flexible tubing to any standard 1/4-28 flatbottom or 10-32 coned receiving port. Simply thread the adapter into a receiving port and slip tubing over the barbed stem to create a reliable low pressure connection.
