Welchrom C8 column is an economical option from Welch Materials. With its low column pressure, affordable pricing, and high cost-performance ratio, it outperforms other products in the same price range. With slightly weaker retention than C18, it is recommended for the separation of strongly hydrophobic compounds.
Welchrom uses the same purity(> 99.999% pure) Type B silica found in all Welch silica-based stationary phases. We combine it with bonding and endcapping steps exclusive to the Welchrom products to produce phases with slightly different selectivity than Ultisil or Topsil.
