The Xtimate series columns are specifically designed for liquid chromatography methods, offering the flexibility to use a wide range of mobile phase systems and a broad temperature spectrum across the entire pH range for method development. These columns are based on ultrapure fully porous spherical silica, and feature Welch Materials' unique organic-inorganic graft bonding technology. This technology maintains the high strength and high-resolution core of the silica matrix, while also grafting a highly pH-stable organic hybrid layer on the surface, extending the pH stability range to 1-12.5.

Xtimate CN is made on a silica matrix modified with Welch’s patented organic–inorganic hybrid surface technology. It supports a wide range of mobile phase systems and a broad temperature window for method development in a broad pH range. With selectivity distinct from C18 and C8 reversed-phase columns, Xtimate CN is well suited for strongly hydrophobic compounds, as well as samples that cannot be eluted on conventional reversed-phase columns.
