Xtimate SEC column is based on porous silica particles matrix, with its surface protected by derivatization with diol functional ligands to prevent interactions with proteins. The dual-bonding mechanism minimizes nonspecific adsorption of water-soluble polymers, proteins, biomolecules, enzymes, and peptides. It is widely used for the separation and analysis of water-soluble polymers and biological macromolecules.
The Xtimate S-X3 is a size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) and gel permeation column packed with polystyrene-divinylbenzene (Bio-Beads S-X3 style) media. It is primarily used for sample cleanup and separating small hydrophobic polymers, pesticides, and environmental residues.
Xtimate SEC (size exclusion chromatography), also known as “global protein hydrophilic modified silica column”, is made from ultra-high purity, stable silica bonded with hydrophilic polymer and diol functional groups. This double bonding mechanism, which makes possible of nonspecific adsorption of high MW polymers, proteins, biological enzymes, polypeptides and other biological samples, can be applied to separating water-soluble polymers from biomacromolecules.
