Ultisil DLC XB-NH₂ column is typically used for the separation of various monosaccharides under reversed-phase conditions. However, it is not recommended for analyzing compounds containing aldehyde or carbonyl groups, as well as reducing sugars.

Under normal-phase elution conditions, it is suitable for analyzing polar compounds, tocopherols, and certain organic compounds soluble in alkanes, alkenes, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
