CHIRALPAK® QN-AX, CHIRALPAK® QD-AX are anion exchange chiral columns.
As a chiral identifier, CHIRALPAK® QN-AX uses a quinine derivative, and CHIRALPAK® QD-AX uses a packing material in which a quinidine derivative is chemically bonded to silica gel.
The tertiary nitrogen of the chiral discriminator, quinuclidine, acts as a weak anion exchange group, enabling optical resolution of acidic compounds.
