The XBridge Premier Oligonucleotide BEH C18 Column, 300 Å, 2.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 50 mm, is used to separate oligonucleotides via ion-pairing reversed-phase (IP-RP) chromatography on UHPLC/HPLC systems. Each column incorporates Waters' BEH hybrid particle technology for unmatched pH and temperature stability and our MaxPeak Premier high performance surface technology for ultra-low non-specific adsorption. Stationary phase batches are also QC tested using the Waters MassPREP Oligonucleotide Standard to ensure lot-to-lot performance. Premier Oligonucleotide BEH Columns provide unmatched sensitivity, exquisite reproducibility, and excellent out-of-the-box performance. Columns with 130Å pore size particles deliver industry leading performance for short-mer oligonucleotide separations, and new 300Å pore size columns offer enhanced resolution for longer oligonucleotides. Suggested Use: Oligonucleotide Separations, Oligonucleotide Analysis. This column comes equipped with an electronic eConnect column tag containing unique column-specific information. These NFC-enabled device-tagged columns were developed to automatically identify, track and digitally trace column use history. eConnect columns can be used on any HPLC, but its advantages are unlocked when used with the Waters Alliance iS and Alliance iS Bio System running Empower software.

BEH (Ethylene Bridged Hybrid) Technology
In 1999, Waters launched the XTerra family of HPLC columns featuring first generation hybrid particle technology (HPT). HPT enabled XTerra columns to become one of the most successful column products in the history of Waters. In HPT, the best properties of inorganic (silica) and organic (polymeric) packings are combined to produce a material that has superior mechanical strength, efficiency, high pH stability and peak shape for bases. The first generation methyl hybrid particles of XTerra columns did not possess the mechanical strength or efficiency necessary to fully realize the potential speed, sensitivity and resolution capabilities of UPLC technology. Therefore, a new pressure-tolerant particle needed to be created. A new, second generation hybrid material was developed which utilizes an ethylene bridged hybrid (BEH) structure. Compared to the first generation methyl hybrid particle of XTerra columns, the BEH particle of ACQUITY UPLC BEH columns exhibits improved efficiency, strength and pH range. BEH Technology™ is a key enabler behind the speed, sensitivity and resolution of UPLC separations.
