       Job Outline

The territory of this role will be the UK based at Sevenoaks, Kent. Ideally, candidates should be living in the South East or within easy reach of the Sevenoaks HQ to minimize unnecessary commutes. 


       Priorities and Objectives

  • Perform field service as advised by the service department in conjunction with the service manager, carrying out repairs, maintenance and, in some cases, installations of analytical instrumentation and their accessories – Predominantly, HPLC, GC and Spectroscopy Technologies. Provide onsite user training on defined product groups where necessary/appropriate. 
  • Organizing routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis. 
  • Ensure that all documentation and manuals are of the correct revision to undertake service on specific instrument types.  Maintain ancillary documentation e.g. Safety Manual, Procedures Manual to the highest standard with regular reviewing of manuals provided in accordance with the Quality Management System - ISO 9001-2015    Click here to view the UVISON Technologies Limited ISO certificate.
  • Align personal working practices with the department’s performance targets.
  • Maintain service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard.  Ensure all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved.
  • Ensure that all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the service PM/PQ required, and that all test equipment issued is calibrated at the times specified.
  • Return fully completed service documentation, Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expenses Claims, etc, on a weekly basis.

       Job Requirements :

       Qualifications

  • HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a Biotechnology discipline.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence.

       Experience - Type of experience and standard required

  • Experience in a Customer Service Environment.
  • Background in Electronics preferably gained in a high technology service environment, together with an understanding of analytical and clinical instrument applications.
  • Candidate must have excellent people management and motivational skills.
  • Some technical experience in either servicing, or operational running of Agilent HPLC and/or Agilent GC and/or Waters HPLC is highly desirable for this role.

        Personality 

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers on all levels, providing service information, technical data and general help as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate internally; orally and in writing.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Understanding of excellent Customer Service.
  • Excellent computer skills are essential and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

       Percentage of time working away from the Sevenoaks office : 60-70%
